SHORT STAY eVisitor TOURIST VISA FOR AUSTRALIA
An eVisitor visa (subclass 651) is designed for people who are outside Australia and want to visit Australia for tourism, holidays, recreation, seeing family and/or friends. This visa can also be applied for business purposes including attending a conference, negotiation or exploratory business visit. You can stay in Australia for up to three months on each visit within a 12 month period from the date of grant. The citizen passports issued by the following countries are eligible for eVisitor visa:

Note: Holders of a British National Overseas (BNO) passport are not eligible to apply for an eVisitor.
SHORT STAY ETA TOURIST VISA FOR AUSTRALIA
An Australian visitor visa (subclass 976) is for people who are living outside Australia and want to visit Australia for holidays, tourism, recreation or for informal study. You can stay for up to three months on each visit within the validity of the visa. ETAs are valid for 12 months from the date of grant, or for the life of the passport if the passport expires less than 12 months from the date the ETA was granted. This is the list of eligible passports to apply for an ETA online. These are citizen passports issued by the following countries.
  • Brunei
  • Canada
  • Hong Kong (SAR)**
  • Japan
  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • United States of America
* Residents of Hong Kong require a citizen passport. Holders of UK passports which indicate their nationality to be British National (Overseas) can only be processed for an ETA if resident in and applying in Hong Kong.

European passport holders who are eligible to apply for the eVisitor visa could apply for an eVisitor visa from here.
LONG STAY ETA TOURIST VISA FOR AUSTRALIA
This Australian visa allows people to visit Australia for a holiday or recreation, or to visit family and/or friends. This visa may also be used for other short-term non-work purposes including study for less than three months. If granted, this visa will allow you either a single or multiple entry to Australia for a stay period of up to three, six or 12 months. Passport holders from the countries listed in the table below are eligible to submit an online application for a Tourist visa (subclass 676).

Andorra, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom - British Citizen, United States of America and Vatican City.
ETA BUSINESS VISA FOR AUSTRALIA
Business visitor visas are for business people to visit Australia for business purposes, for example, to attend a conference or training session, to conduct business with an Australia-based organisation, to conduct business negotiations or for an exploratory business visit. Business activities do not include acting, musical performances or commercial film making.

- ETA (Business Entrant - Short Validity) subclass 977
- ETA (Business Entrant - Long Validity) subclass 956
